Anni Hindocha

Approximately one hour later, at 11:12 pm, a 33-year-old government employee named Simbonile Matokazi was returning to his home near the Cape Flats township of Khayelitsha.

Simbonile had driven a friend to the airport and was pulling into his garage when he noticed a stranger dressed neatly in a dark suit standing on his doorstep. As foreign visitors to the area were rare, Simbonile was baffled by the man’s presence…
